BlizzCon’s cosplay featured amazing costumes this year, everybody went all out and gave their best to show what they can do. All costumes were jawdropping and mindblowing to look at.
But in all of those shiny and fabulous cosplay costumes one just stood out.
Grand Empress Shek'zeer from World of Warcraft worn by Cosplay Py took the first prize and deservingly so. Grand Empress Shek'zeer is an NPC in Mists of Pandaria expansion, and the final boss of Heart of Fear raid.
Costume took two years of hard work to carefully build all the parts. It was physically very demanding to wear and at one point she had to stop posing to rest her back and feet.
Her facebook page shows her and her husband's hard work to get everything just right, paint, wires, materials and power tools in hand.
At the end the hard work payed off, costume was glorious, but unfortunately nobody saw it on stage.
After the costumes were judged and supposed to go on stage for presentation, she had a bad fall in the backstage and seriously hurt her ankle. So seriously she had to be carried out and going on stage and performing was out of the question.
She was crushed, two years of hard work and dedication just went down the drain.
At the end, she won the BlizzCon’s Cosplay with costume that will go down in history of cosplay as the great piece of art and that is a huge thing to achieve.
